Dr. John's Q&A #46, 1 October 1992

Is Creation one of the Traditional Values?

Review by Greg Neyman

This question was published in Dr. John's Q&A by John Morris in October 1992.  In this article, Morris relates what traditional values are.  Things such as a heterosexual marriage, lasting for life, premarital chastity, the sanctity of human life, and freedom of religion.  In these matters there is no debate from me.

Morris then argues that these traditional values are a direct result of the Creator, and can be seen in the book of Genesis.  I wholeheartedly agree with this statement.  In writing this response Morris makes no claims here about the age of the earth, so old earth creationists, including theistic evolutionists, can agree with his words.

Morris ends this discussion with an encouragement to vote for candidates which support the traditional values.  I second this encouragement.

If you are not a Christian, and you have been holding out on making a decision for Christ because the Church always preached a message that was contrary to what you saw in the scientific world, then rest assured that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God, and you can believe in Christ and receive salvation, while still believing in an old earth.  Click here for more.
