Should Christians Market Their Message? - AiG daily for 25 June. Absolutely we should market the Gospel. However, for it to be more effective, we should strip it of YEC. Most people know that the earth is billions of years old...attaching YEC to the Gospel is not the most effective way to spread the good news.
A Baraminic Study of the Blood Flukes of Family Schistosomatidae - AiG daily for 24 June. This lengthy article looks scientific, and thats the point...prove to their YEC followers that they can do real science. This one discusses the diversification of a family of parasites, and claims they must have done so after God called his creation "good". Does not deal directly with dating of fossil specimins. Worldviews, Logic, and Earth's Age - Part 2 - CMI daily for 26 June. This is a reprint from the Journal of Creation (CMI's attempt at a 'peer-reviewed' journal (only reviewed by YECs, so it doesn't count for scientific purposes). Attempts to claim that YEC was the only belief prior to the 18th century, and that OEC is harmful to the church. In reality, as we have learned more about our planet, the YEC-only teaching (either the earth is young, or the bible is false) has led many to abandon the church. If they had been taught that there is a third option...belief that God created over billions of years, then they could have realized that you can be a Christian and believe in an old earth.
Dinosaur Proteins and Radiocarbon Wreak 'Jurassic World' Havoc - CMI daily for 25 June. Another soft tissue claim. This one also mentions radiocarbon found in dinosaur fossils, which presents no problem. One expects to find background radiocarbon, as they are exposed to air, and when underground, groundwater contamination.
Coal Beds and Noah's Flood, Part 2 - Daily for 24 June. Interstingly, they posted this to their Facebook feed on 17 June, and then again on 24 June. I had an ongoing conversation on the 17 June Post. In short, multiple sequences of coal beds are impossible to explain by a worldwide flood. See the OEM article below.
