Argument: 

Old earth theories such as evolutionism, theistic evolution, and progressive creationism all reject the existence of an original paradise, a place where beasts lived peacefully alongside Adam and Eve

Response: 

 

  1. Old earth creationists do believe in Eden, just as described above

  2. This is based on the argument that billions of animals died before the Garden of Eden.  However, the Garden of Eden was distinct from the rest of the world.  If the world were perfect, then the "Garden" would have consisted of the entire globe, and not just a small plot of land which it was.  God would have had no need to create a special place called Eden
