D421:  Noah took juvenile dinosaurs on the Ark

Edited by Greg Neyman

Argument:  John Woodmorappe and others claim that dinosaurs were on the Ark, and in order to squeeze them in, they were juveniles

Source:   Woodmorappe, in Noah's Ark: A Feasibility Study; and numerous others

Response:

  1. Juvenile animals would require more care than adults, increasing the workload upon Noah and his family

  2. If raptors and T-rex's were released after the flood, with such a limited supply of food (only the animals that were on the ark), they would have caused the extinction of all the animals on the ark, including mankind

  3. It is said that they would have fed on the other dinosaurs, leading to the extinction of the dinosaurs.  However, juveniles would prey on animals smaller than they are.  Large herbivorous dinosaurs were probably safe from juvenile raptors and T-rex's.  The most likely prey would have been the cow-sized animals

  4. This is an argument from necessity.  The Bible does not mention dinosaurs and the Ark.  It is required because of the young earth,  system, making it a fabrication of the mind and not based in any facts
