Young earth ministry Creation Moments points to research which shows that corals grow faster than thought. The age of the millions of years old Great Barrier Reef of Australia has been overestimated by a factor of 40

The reef structure has been built up over the past 500 million years. Reducing this by a factor of 40 reduces the age of the reef to 12.5 million years. This is still much too old for young earth creation science

The actual age of the current reef is 18,000 years. It is built upon other older layers, which also must be accounted for by the flood
