N13:  The Hydroplate theory

Edited by Greg Neyman

Argument:

A vast majority of the waters for the flood came from beneath the earth's crust, as the "fountains of the deep" broke up and spewed forth water.  This water was contained in a layer about ten miles underground

Response:

  1. A water reservoir would have been forced to the surface long before Noah's time

  2. Water only five miles down is superheated (260 degrees).  Noah would have been poached when this was forcefully ejected

  3. Geologic features expected from the expulsion fissures would be obvious, however, none have ever been identified
