On 26 March 2006 Answers in Genesis reported on a new find of a hominid skull in Ethiopia.1 The new skull, is thought to be that of a small human ancestor, and was touted as a possible missing link. For the news release on abcnews.com, click here.
Strange as this may seem...I agree with Answers in Genesis with this one. Evolutionists must be cautious about making any claims about this fossil...because the preliminary data is very sketchy, and quite inconclusive. I believe Answers in Genesis appropriately showed that so little was known about the skull, with terms like "is thought to have", "may prove", and so on...yet later on, the skull "forces us to re-examine our views of human origins." This preliminary report forces absolutely nothing. We must wait for a published scientific article on the skull before we can reach any kind of conclusion, one way or the other.
Answers in Genesis shows that the secular media is eager to point out the proof of evolution, even if they don't have the facts yet to back it up. Evolution may be true, but we need better evidence than this.
