This question was published in Dr. John's Q&A by John Morris in December 1993. Most old earth creationists will agree with the story of Jonah...that he was swallowed by a whale (or great fish), and that after three days he came forth from the whale. In this matter, I agree with the answer given by Dr. Morris. In addition, this issue has no relation to the age of the earth issue, and therefore presents no problems for progressive creationists or theistic evolutionists.
