Review by Greg Neyman

For the first part of this series, I did not write a review, as I saw no need. There really is no need here either. The author does discuss more of the history of science, and delves into what is the "scientific method," which is one of my favorite points I like to make.
When a scientist does science, here is what is supposed to happen. He/she gathers information (data points) through observation and experimentation. After they have all the data, they put it together into a theory of how they think it happens (or happened, if in the past).
When it comes to young earth creation science, here is how the young earth scientist does it. First, they have the conclusion that the earth is young. Then, they go out, make observations and do experiments, and try to make that data fit their conclusion. This is science done backwards. If he were truly a scientist, he would make his observations/experiments, and then come to a conclusion. Thus, the term "young earth creation scientist" is an oxymoron...two terms (young earth and science) that should never be used together.
It would be more appropriate to call them young earth theorists.

If you are not a Christian, and you have been holding out on making a decision for Christ because the Church always preached a message that was contrary to what you saw in the scientific world, then rest assured that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God, and you can believe in Christ and receive salvation, while still believing in an old earth. Are you a Christian who believes in young earth creationism? Now that we have shown the many difficulties of the young earth creation science model in this and many other articles, how does this impact your Christian life? If you are a young earth creationism believer, click here.
